Playtime pal Baby loves listening to nursery rhymes, looking at books, and playing with you…but he’s into everything else going around him too. Watch for signs that baby’s losing interest during playtime — if he looks away, closes his eyes, or shows irritation while you’re in the middle of singing “This Little Piggy” and wiggling his toes, he’s telling you that he’s just not that into your game at the moment. Let him have some down time when he wants it — just like you, he sometimes needs a break. To-do:

[tip]  If you’re breastfeeding, you still need to eat more throughout the day than before you got pregnant. To find out how many calories you need every day, multiply your pregnancy weight by 12 if you’re inactive, 15 if you get in some exercise, and 22 if you’re a jock.
