October 20, 2010: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Graco Children’s Products Inc. have announced a recall of about 2 million Graco strollers, after four incidents of infant strangulation and five of infant entrapment were reported. According to the CPSC release, entrapment and strangulation can occur while using these strollers when children under 12 months are not properly harnessed and slip through the opening between the stroller tray and bottom of the seat. The recall specifically affects a variety of models in the Graco MetroLite and Graco Quattro Tour stroller styles (as well as their travel systems) that were manufactured within the last 10 years.
